The following statements were taken from letters that were written by current student families regarding MSH:

Our children have attended the Montessori Schoolhouse for most of their academic careers…oldest is ranked fifth in her current public high school class. Our middle child is currently ranked seventh in her public high school class…… In an informal poll of our children, each child said they were very grateful for the opportunity to attend Montessori and will absolutely send any child they have to a Montessori school…

…My son has attended the Montessori Schoolhouse since he was three years old…He has been at or above grade level in terms of his academic progress, and really embraces the independent learning style that Montessori offers…I have an education degree myself and I can say without reservation that the Montessori Schoolhouse offers a type and standard of educational experience that I have found nowhere else. Students are happy, cooperative, mature, responsible and articulate, and are given a wonderful foundation to grow into positive members or our society and community…

..My child has been a part of the Montessori Schoolhouse curriculum since he started school as a preschooler; he is now in the fifth grade. I do understand, Montessori is a “choice”, however, if a student can receive individualized education that is the “choice” that all parents would make…The Montessori program is one that provides individualized instruction, problem-solving skills, and positive human interaction …The idea of small, individualized instruction is what all children deserve when beginning his/her education so that they might be successful students and adults…

…I have been an educator for the past 25 years and have worked in many different school environments from private schools to the public school system.  I have seen some wonderful schools in the 5 states I’ve taught in but none have come close to the quality of education I see at The Montessori School house…

…It allows them to be natural leaders, encouragers, and watchers when needed. .. I believe both of my children are learning above the typical age level. Basically because they are able to excel at the subjects they really love. Unlike the traditional school environment, there is no limitation put on what or at what rate a child can learn…

…I believe there is a big difference between “thriving” in a school environment and simply learning what you need to know to move on to the next grade… and have seen first-hand the impact that a program like Montessori has had on my child both academically and socially… I know my child is nurtured both academically and socially, and that the foundation she is building at the Montessori Schoolhouse is setting her up for guaranteed success as she grows up…

…On many of occasions I have seen the teachers sitting on the floor helping my kids or other students “figure it out” when most would have said, “Maybe later”. They work with the student until they have that “light bulb moment”, hence the twinkle in their eye and the smile on the student’s face. They have instilled a sense of confidence, accomplishment and self-worth in each of them, which cannot be measured by a grade card or test…
